Fireplace Upgrade To a Fireline FX4 Multifuel Stove
This client was looking to upgrade his old floating electric fire due to poor heat output.
He opted for a fireline FX4 multifuel stove, so in order to accommodate this we stripped out the chimney breast and opened it up to the builder’s opening, to make an inglenook. A liner was then installed, and a heat proof interior, to ensure the heat would bounce back into the room rather than be absorbed into the nook.
We then fitted a Riven Slate hearth, including a log store feature underneath, and to finish off we fitted Riven Slate slips.
The result was a rustic finish stove, with high-quality heat output.
